We’re loving the artist Rainer Elstermann’s series “Old Masters,” which recreates classic portraits with children as models.  The Rubens is quite Gareth Pugh, non?

Skateboarding aficionadoes are in luck of late.  First came the Stephen Sprouse/Louis Vuitton collaboration board featuring the artist’s signature scrawl in pink.  Now the artwork for the No Comply 2008 skateboard art show has landed online, featuring the work of more than 70 artists.

Question: Why not have your own knitted version of a Ferrari?  Artist Lauren Porter says, “I created a Ferrari because it is instantly recognisable and the opposite of what people expect from something that is knitted. Bringing binary opposites together results in the work becoming appealing to a mixture of audiences.”  Sure beats the old knit one, purl two.
