Keletan-born Zang Toi is creating waves with his newest collection and has been picked up this morning by BTE TV, making the fashion and beauty news show’s main page. After experiencing the Spanish bullfights, the designer created his matador-inspired collection for Spring 2010. Kudos, Toi!
In these blessed few hours before the Parisian madness begins, allow us to indulge a bit of nostalgie. Remember Eurotrash, the deliciously nineties late-night TV show shown in the UK on Channel 4? Well, Antoine de Caunes and Jean Paul Gaultier launched this little gem in 1993, and it went on to create a whopping 16 series. (JPG left at the end of the 7th cycle). In the spirit of Friday, Chic invites you to sit back, relax and enter the quirky and deliciously odd world of Quentin Jones and E. Tautz. Patrick Grant commissioned young Brit Quentin Jones to create an animated short for the label, and we adore the results. Jones is known for his dry wit and humor, and his irresistibly eccentric video puts us in a first-rate mood. Spot-on, Quentin!

DSW’s most recent ad features ballet flats, pumps, mules, lace-up boots and the like looking for love in all the wrong places. Who knew the Designer Shoe Warehouse had such a sense of humor? We got a few morning giggles out of the DSW’s “Speed Dating” spot–the short even makes a veiled incest reference. Brazen move!
