This orange and gold creation is straight off the Pakistani runway. Designer Pashmina’s frock looks like a dress-piñata hybrid, and is just one of the many vibrant looks sailing down the runway during Pakistan Fashion Week in Karachi. We wonder…If you smack this ensemble with a stick, will candy fall out?
“The inspiration for this season was the ingénue. It was a trip to Hollywood Hills where I chanced upon these beautiful mansions and peering through the stained glass windows, I started to imagine who the occupants were. These fabulous actresses who have lived there in the past from the 20s, 30s and 40s…I started to come up with my own muse who I christened George.” –John Galliano on what got his creative juices flowing. Things got positively bucolic during the Chanel show this morning . The scent of hay filled the the Grand Palais, as the venue was transformed into a shabby-chic barn. At end of the show, the Kaiser sailed down the grassy runway, past lounging models sprawled atop piles of hay. How rustic of you, Karl!
