Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford Split

After 9 months of dating, even their mutual “good southern values” couldn’t keep together the American Idol winner Carrie Underwood and Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford.

Her story: He rather stay and play by going clubbing and taking trips to Las Vegas with his buddies than keep her company on her three month tour. Friends say she expected more after he took her to meet his family over Thanksgiving of 2007. Friends of the 25 year old singer warned her to be careful about dating a 22 year old boy.

His story: He was pissed that she continued to talk to her ex-beau, Dallas Cowboy’s quarterback Tony Romo, 27, who has been dating Jessica Simpson for the past five months. Chace’s friends also said Carrie was super needy and would call him constantly.

Hmmm…can’t expect much from a boy who’s not ready to settle down. But then again, if you want to date a woman, you gotta be ready to act like a man.
