Chopard: The Oscar Starlet’s Lucky Charm?

Last year, the lovely Marion Cotillard sported something like 138 carats of blue sapphire sparklers by Chopard to the Academy Awards…and picked up a shiny gold Oscar to go with it. This year, the only chic starlets to wear Chopard on the carpet were Kate Winslet, who wore pear-shaped diamond cluster earrings set in platinum (28 carats) and a pear-shaped brilliant cut diamond bracelet (117 carats), and Penelope Cruz, who spotted a cushion-cut diamond necklace set in platinum (69 carats), a starburst yellow diamond ring (21 carats), diamond stud earrings (11 carats) and dazzling diamond bracelets–and well, you remember who won the awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, don’t you? Ironically, Cotillard handed the Brit her statue. Now, Chic Report is not superstitious, but if we were up for an Academy Award next year, we know know what we’d wear…
