STARWORKS SIGNS NEW YORK GIANT LINEBACKER DANNY CLARK
New York, NY (October, 2009) — STARWORKS is pleased to announce the addition of veteran NFL linebacker, New York Giant Danny Clark, to its lifestyle division. Clark joins STARWORKS’ as their first athlete, marking the lifestyle division’s expansion into the sports market. STARWORKS launched a series of Monday Night Football charity events, in conjunction with MMG, to benefit The Danny Clark Foundation, which Diesel sponsors. Clark hosts these events at The Ainsworth in New York with several of his teammates and celebrity friends, every Monday throughout the season.
“In an effort to expand both my professional and philanthropic profile, I wanted to work with an innovative company that uses forward-thinking techniques to further develop my public image,” says Clark. “I look forward to STARWORKS finding creative ways to integrate their ideas into a successful campaign that maximizes public awareness and monetary gain for my foundation.”
“Being an accomplished athlete who manages to make time to help the less fortunate immediately made us admire Danny. We’re grateful to work with him and introduce him into the world of fashion and entertainment,” said Erica Cornwall, Head of Lifestyle at Starworks. “Athletes should have just as much recognition as an actor or musician and we’re lucky that our fashion client Diesel agrees and has invested in the weekly events for The Danny Clark Foundation.”
Entering his 10th season in the NFL, operating a music production company, Family Biz Entertainment, and promoting The Danny Clark Foundation are just some of the elements that make Clark an entrepreneur. Clark graduated from The University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, with the intention to foray into the Broadcast profession. He is a trained on-air personality with appearances on FOX News, FOX Business, NY1, NBC, ESPN, The  NFL Network, Mad Dog Radio and Giants.com.
Clark says, “Breaking into the broadcast world is following my second dream, with some experience under my belt, my goal is to someday retire from the NFL and pursue a career in sports broadcasting.”
