Is Kanye West the author of this announcement? We could swear by the caps lock and plethora of exclamation points that he was, but no–it was just Simon Doonan announcing the company’s elation over Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Day outfit by Isabel Toledo. The enthusiastic announcement wasn’t all: Barneys broke precedent by tearing down their displays on Madison and replacing them with windows celebrating their longtime partner and friend, promising that her spring collection will be on display “as soon as she has finished stitching it!”
