Giuseppe Zanotti knows how to star-spangle a pair of pumps, but we love it when flats get the glitz treatment. Whoever said comfy ballet flats had to be drab? Tonight may be the celebration of sky-high heels, otherwise known as the Victoria’s Secret Show, but we’ll be sitting pretty in our sensibly-low chaussures.

    At first glance these lace-ups look like an oxford/pointe shoe hybrid, but these chaussures, created by Japanese footwear designer Koji Horigome, are more sculptural than they are practical. They look like they may pinch a bit, proving that flats aren’t always the comfortable choice.
