The Far East is Going to Zen Cha!

Chicaholic knows it’s St. Patty’s Day–one of our fave holidays all year!–and everyone will be getting their Irish drink on. But why not get a little bit more creative with the green theme this year? Besides the normal green beer or classic whiskey might we suggest ZEN Green Tea Liqueur.  Sure it’s got a Far East spin but don’t think they’re not celebrating in Japan! Imbibe and enjoy! 
Zen Cha
1½ parts ZEN Green Tea Liqueur
4 parts prepared Genmaicha Green Tea
1½ parts SKYY Vodka®
Combine one part cold and five parts boiling water to approximately 180º.  Use ¼ cup dry tea leaves to 2 cups hot water (1:8 ratio).  Steep for two minutes.  Strain and chill. Pour ingredients into a shaker with ice.  Shake and strain into glass over lemon slice.

    Chicaholic is all about supporting Mother Earth so on this most momentous occasion, the folks at 360 Vodka shared a recipe for one of their mean green cocktails: the Ecotini. So gather your other tree-hugging hippie friends and enjoy!
    Ecotini
    2 oz. 360 Vodka
    2 oz. Green Tea
    Sweetened with Green Tea Liqueur
    Shake with cracked ice and strain into martini glass and garnish with a mint sprig.

    The Cosmo Politician
    2 parts Svedka Clementine
    1/2 part orange juice
    1 tsp sour mix
