Gossip Girl Cameo Diary: Todd Diciurcio
If you haven’t watched Gossip Girl for a while, tonight might have to be the night. Tory Burch will make a cameo, and so will artist Todd Diciurcio, who’ll follow in footsteps of good friend Richard Phillips who also briefly appeared on the show in the past. Diciurcio looked great in D&G (above) for his big day at Silvercup Studios and shared his experiences with Chic Report straight from the set:
“The cameo experience was very interesting and fun. When I work on a film, I’m usually on the other side of the lens. I have known most of the cast for some time now, and they are all a gifted bunch….I really love Blake (Lively), she is an amazing person to work with and made the experience quite memorable- even giving me pointers. We were chatting in makeup and Jess (Szohr) came in and gave me hell for not telling her I was coming in- she is a good friend…Jess, for the record, I really thought you knew! The scene is quick & I was still a bit nervous on the set, which I guess is normal, but Casey Fremont (from Art Production Fund) was there with me and I was cast as myself, being surrounded by some works from my debut show, “Synthesis,” a set made to look like a solo show of mine during a montage scene, and the dialogue was put in on the fly. The director, Mark Piznarski, was very gracious with me. Outside the lines, I am collaborating with Ed Westwick and Richard (Phillips) on a multimedia project, but rule #1 is: we don’t talk about the project!”
