Jeremy Scott had a lot to be excited about at his show: his front row consisted of Kanye West, Beth Ditto, Suzy Menkes, and Gareth Pugh. But Scott seemed the most elated backstage while looking over the models that happily wore his visions. “I was inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse as simple and Americana as it is,” he explained. “I love the iconic iconography like yellow polka dots, the Mickey ears, and I brought back my signature phone chord print. It’s all about very bright pop colors.” But his first Disney World experience would be the one he’d never forget. “I was about eight, right before the fifth grade,” he recollected. “We took a road trip to Florida, but on the way there I fell and broke my arm! I had to go to hospital in Georgia and cried with happiness when the doctor okay’d my trip. I actually have a picture of Mickey with my cast!”
