A limited-edition Coco Chanel coin wasn’t a sufficient tribute to the great designer–according to Karl Lagerfeld, that is. He’s following up the hardware with his own ten-minute tribute to Coco in the form of a short film. (The enticing teaser is above.) The film was just shown alongside the new Paris-Moscow pre-fall 2009 collection in Paris this week. The work tells the story of a love affair between Chanel and Duke Dimitri Pavlovich, with Edita Vikeviciute playing the young legendary designer and Brad Koenig portraying the noble heartthrob. Tallulah Ormsby-Gore and Karl’s right and left hand man Sebastien Jondeau are featured in crucial supporting roles.
