Kiefer Sutherland suffers from tattoo addiction

I had no idea that Kiefer Sutherland was a tattoo maniac. He does a pretty good job of keeping his tats covered up. The “24” star admits that he gets a new piece of body art to commemorate landmark moments in his life.
 

He said: “I have a lot of tattoos - it’s kind of disease. You get the first one and then if it matters to you, you get more.
“I got my first tattoo when I was 16 and had just left home. I was really scared so a couple of friends and I got tattoos as a bonding thing. From then on, anytime I went through something in my life that mattered to me I had this desire to make a tattoo out of it.
“I have a lot. There are times when it is difficult. When I work I have them covered up and sometimes see a picture of myself when I had none and think maybe I shouldn’t have had any. But most of the time it’s a nice map for myself about the journey of my life.” [Source]

Kiefer has lived an interesting life and has even spent some time in prison so we could hardly count on him to keep a scrapbook. Tats seem to be the next best thing.
