Louis’s Luxe Livre

Vuitton and Murakami just can’t get enough of each other. Just a month after their ultra-posh collaboration on the plush Putipanda, the two cultural giants have reunited for a slightly more sophisticated endeavor. Come September 1st, Vuitton stores worldwide will launch a deluxe edition of their haute-ly intellectual book, “Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion and Architecture.” Naturally, the house enlisted Murakami to design the luxe livre, which includes over 400 pages of images and critical essays about the fashion institution’s diverse creative collaborations. The Murakami edition will be both fêted and featured at Vuitton’s Fashion’s Night Out celebration. The brand’s 57th street flagship will remain open to eager shoppers until 11:00pm, and a portion of proceeds will be donated to the National September 11th Memorial & Museum.
