A Moment With…Tony Shafrazi at the Interview bash

Fashion Week has begun and so have the fêtes! Chic Report will be bringing you ”moments” all week, so stay tuned for a deluge of dish. First up, we tracked down art legend Tony Shafrazi at Interview’s celebration last night.
How does this incarnation of this magazine compare to previous versions?
Well, it wouldn’t be nice to say. I am not trying to offend anyone.
How about Warhol’s Interview?
I’ve known Interview since the inception, and from the beginning it went through many changes. In ‘70, ‘71 it was in black and white. By the late seventies, it got really excited and great, but I always loved Andy’s Interviews. Glenn O’Brien was in it from the beginning, so he knows. I like that the size is bigger again. The energy is really happening!
What do you think of the Kate Moss cover?
Oh, I think its fantastic. Amazing. Ah, one of the best ever. In each period there were good covers. Bruce Weber did great ones in ‘94, ‘96, ‘98 and I think all the covers Richard Bernstein did were great.
What would you wear if you were on the cover?
A Spiderman suit.
Do you think Andy would be proud?
Yes, absolutely.
