Tao Lands Akris

This is the last day of Fashion Week and the campaign rumors are already starting. One that’s not just gossip: Tao Okamoto just landed Akris. Albert Kriemler tapped her after falling in love with the stunner during the casting process. The photographer was never in question either; it’s Steven Klein. Kriemler was actually one of the first people in the industry to give Klein a campaign chance too. “I remember seeing this great Bazaar editorial and then a DKNY catalog that was shot black on black,” said the Akris designer. “I told myself. ‘I have to find and work with this guy immediately’. And we’ve worked with each other ever since.”
