It may not have been bondage dressing, but the Milan runways were chock-full of tightly belted looks for fall 2009. John Varvatos sent a double-breasted jacket down the runway that was belted below the waist, while Alexander McQueen opted for a cleaner and leaner silhouette with a camel trench. Trussardi’s Milan Vukmirovic opted for a strange belted brace on two of his suits that was one of the more off-kilter choices in his fall collection. Gucci’s Frida Giannini sent out a rocker-worthy bomber jacket, while Zegna’s trench is an option for the sartorially safe.
