Valli Enters Romanian Territories

Each season, Giambattista Valli makes a less than 24 hour recovery from showcasing his signature collection to showing off his Gamme Rouge line for Moncler in a presentation. How does he do it exactly? Well, we know that having Alex de Betak on your side helps but the Italian has another logical explanation. “I always believed that the more you work on, the more fluid your activity is,” the designer explained. These are two different universes, but truthfully I would love to see one of my gowns combined with one of these pieces.” This time around, these pieces are carefully showcased in the Romanian embassy. “All these three rooms in this building have opposite personality,” continued Valli. “You could go from being romantic to almost dark, and a little nightmarish at the same time.” Everyone from Glenda Bailey to Amy Astley to Elizabeth Saltzman made a cameo and tasted the fresh selection of juices and berries. But it was Natalie Portman (above with Remo and Francesca Ruffini and Valli) who got a completely personal tour. “This always makes me smile,” exclaimed the designer. “She’s, my brilliant idol really!”
